CreoSalus is a rapidly growing biotech company specializing in peptide-based pharmaceutical research and manufacturing. CreoSalus consists of three synergistic divisions based entirely on peptide science:

Thorn Bioscience is a peptide pharmaceutical manufacturing company which provides contract sterile fill / finish capabilities. Thuramed designs and manufactures state-of-the-art automated peptide synthesizers. Advanced ChemTech manufactures and sells Fmoc, Boc, and unnatural amino-acid derivatives, synthesis grade resins and high purity reagents; all of which are used in the production of peptides.

Advanced Chemtech peptides, amino acids, resins, and reagents produced in our Louisville pilot facility, ACT specializes in custom peptides, Fmoc, Boc, and Z amino acid derivatives, resins and reagents for peptide synthesis.

These products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and our plant is fully auditable. ACT is also your source for BIOSOLVE HPLC reagents, RNA / DNA phosphoramidites, and fluorescent transfection kits. BIOSOLVE is a certified ISO 9001 and 14001 company.

BIOSOLVE RNA / DNA SYNTHESIS MATERIAL

Advanced ChemTech provides contract custom peptide synthesis from the discovery stage through to clinical trials. The division is also the North American source for BIOSOLVE RNA/DNA synthesis materials and ultra pure solvents and reagents for HPLCs.

THURAMED PEPTIDE SYNTHESIZERS

The Thuramed Tetras is the world’s only truly asynchronous peptide synthesizer with AMPS™ technology. The Tetras multiple peptide instrument can operate up to 106 independent, variable-scale reactions simultaneously and is fully networkable. Using both Fmoc and Boc chemistry, the Tetras is extremely versatile without being complicated. The Tetras set the standard of which all other multiple peptide synthesizers are measured.

REPRODUCTIVE MANAGEMENT

CreoSalus was originally founded as Thorn Bioscience by Mrs Laura Thorn in 1995. Its original and continuing mission is to develop novel peptide-based veterinary drugs for use in reproductive management, therapeutics, and vaccines of domestic animals. These products are a continuation of work initiated by Thornbrook Farm's New York reproductive research and development laboratory, an international leader in equine reproductive research in its own right, and by virtue of its support of research at leading universities.

In 1998, the ownership of the company was expanded to include approximately 70 individual investors. Together with Mrs. Torn, these investors represent the foundation of the company's current ownership.

In May of 2005, Thorn Bioscience acquired ACT holdings and Thuramed devices. ACT Holdings held, as its primary interest, the assets of Advanced ChemTech, a peptide building blocks, scale-up and custom synthesis company.

Thuramed Devices held, as its primary assets, substantial intellectual property in cardiology, women's health and peptide synthesizer technology. In June 2005, the parent company was renamed CreoSalus, which comes from the Latin, "to create good health".
