BIOSYN® SOLVENTS FOR THE BIOTECH MARKET

Production of synthetic DNA and RNA demands high purity, low water content solvents. BioSyn solvents are specifically processed and tested for these challenging applications. Large quantities of solvents are used in DNA synthesis, making it critical to reduce impurities to extremely low levels.

BIOSYN® DNA REAGENTS FOR DNA SYNTHESIS

Using in-house synthesis capabilities, Burdick & Jackson™ developed BioSyn DNA reagents specifically for use in oligonucleotide synthesis. Packaging for these reagents is designed to facilitate direct connection to popular DNA synthesizers. All Burdick & Jackson DNA reagents are processed to exacting specifications, ensuring the highest synthesis efficiency. Particulate contamination is minimized through use of a 0.2micron filter during packaging.

ACS / HPLC GRADE SOLVENTS

Burdick & Jackson’s ACS/HPLC certified solvents are ideal for HPLC analysis, organic synthesis and spectrophotometry applications. This line offers excellent lot-to-lot consistency and product certification that meets ACS and HPLC standards. Certified solvent specifications are achieved through careful material selection and processing.

ANHYDROUS SOLVENTS

Burdick & Jackson™ anhydrous solvents are specifically manufactured for moisture-sen¬sitive applications. Water content ranges from less than 10ppm to less than 50ppm. Low residue eliminates the need for extra purification and drying steps in the lab. This line is packaged in specially designed septum-sealed bottles to maintain low water content and ensure product integrity. Our anhydrous solvent packaging features a double closure, which includes an easy-slip-on vinyl cap with Teflon& liner and screw-on phenolic cap with 18mm hole. The large septum surface allows for easy access and repeated punctures.

B&J GC2® SOLVENTS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING

B&J GC2 Solvents were developed for trace analysis using capillary gas chromatogra¬phy with requirements at or below the part-per-billion level. Each lot is performance-tested to meet demanding GC specifications. Samples of every B&J GC2 solvent are concentrated 1000-fold and tested by temperature programmed capillary GC-FID. This analysis detects both low-boiling and high-boiling molecules, anything eluting from toluene through diesel fuel, as well as other semi-volatile compounds of environmental interest.

PURIFIED PLUS® ACS GENERAL USE SOLVENTS

Simply screening raw materials and repackaging batches that happen to meet ACS specifications can cause wide fluctuations in solvent quality.
