DUBLIN, July 2006 - DiPAMP and analogues now available at kilogram scale.
Despite its versatility as an asymmetric hydrogenation ligand the full potential of the Knowles ligand DiPAMP remains under-exploited. Having completed its work on the development of a practical manufacturing route to this material, Celtic Catalysts is pleased to announce its availability at a multi kilogram scale. This route, which does not rely on separation technology, is free of all previous patent issues and produces material of consistent quality and high purity.
This powerful new route enables the generation of DiPAMP analogues to overcome difficult transformations or fully optimise the reaction conditions (e.g. the tolyl analogue DiTOMP illustrated). In addition, using Celtic Catalysts CHOICE program the optimum catalyst structure can be derived from the many thousands of permutations available.
