Recent floods across the UK have caused a vast amount of damage to businesses, healthcare facilities and bio-sensitive production sites. Hospitals have been affected along with other vital local services and many are now counting the cost of unusually vast amounts of rainfall. Even after the flood waters have subsided and the initial cleanup completed, what is left poses a real and serious contamination risk; mould, bacteria and fungi will all thrive in these damp conditions. This is where Bioquell can help.
Biowuell's room bio-decontamination Service provides organizations with the ability to remove the micro-organisms which can pose risks to health long after flooding has occured. RBDS is a unique service providing hydrogen peroxide vapour decontamination for any enclosed space including, but not limited to hospitals, surgeries, pharmaceutical facilities, laboratories and schools.
Bioquell's team of highly trained and experienced engineers manage the process on-site to ensure a contamination free environment remains at the end of the cycle, doing so with minimal disruption to ongoing day-to-day activities.
RBDS utilises hydrogen peroxide vapour technology which has proven efficacy against the bacteria, mould and fungi that is likely to occur after flooding. The process is rapid so Bioquell can have an entire facility, be it a hospital, laboratory or pharmaceutical facility free from contamination in less than 24 hours. Hydrogen peroxide vapour decontamination, unlike some of the alternative decontamination methods, is non-carcinogenic and decomposes at the end of the cycle to oxygen and water vapour.
As there are no residues this further reduces downtime – no remedial cleaning is required. The process is also verified using biological indicators (6-log loading Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores).
The RBDS team has considerable experience across many industries – to date Bioquell have decontaminated in excess of 10,000 rooms worldwide. These industries include healthcare, pharmaceutical, lifescience and laboratories among others for routine decontamination or where water ingress has caused issues.
