Based in the USA, Haddad-Wylie Industries (HWI) specialises in supplying clean room facilities and other aseptic design solutions for the pharmaceuticals industry. We manufacture and install custom-built clean room wall systems that are designed to limit the spread of microbial contaminants in a wide range of working environments.

HWI produces poly-wall systems, laminate wall systems, modular and non-progessive partition wall systems and rod-hung ceiling grids. All of our products are built with seamless joints, are easy to clean and are chemically resistant.

POLY-WALL SYSTEMS FOR CLEAN ROOMS AND LABORATORIES

The Aseptic Poly-Wall system is HWI's innovative solution to the ever-changing needs of the life science and healthcare industries. Whether you need a self-standing double-sided partition wall or a laminate skin over an existing substrate, HWI offers easy-to-install modular systems with high aseptic detail and a wide range of material options.

LAMINATE WALL SYSTEM – FULL-HEIGHT AND ASEPTIC WAINSCOTING

The HWI Laminate system, or Poly Skin Wall, consists of vacuum-formed thermoplastic sheets with a coved base formed to the exact profile as the PVC base track extrusion used in the 2in system and is thus compatible with the same inside corner module. By vaccuum-forming the lower module we eliminate the microbial seam that normally exists between the cove and its transition into the wall panel.

The Poly Skin Wall system can be installed to any solid wall surface and its rolled vertical edges form a smooth butt-joint that can be either heat-welded, chemically sealed or silicone caulked. It is the ideal application for hospital and lab retro-fits where floor-to-ceiling coverage in required.

PARTITION WALL SYSTEM - MODULAR AND NON-PROGRESSIVE

The HWI 2in Partition Wall system is modular by design, making it easy to install, demount and reconfigure. Many modular clean room systems are advertised as "modular", yet their modularity is confined into a progressive system structure that restricts the end-user from demounting a particular composite panel without deconstructing an entire section of wall.

However, with the HWI system a combination of an innovative horizontal tongue and groove at the base track and deflection track at the top creates a non-progressive system that maintains the smooth aseptic finish required by the industry. Thus every clean environment or partition that is constructed has the ability to become an ever-changing custom enclosure without the risk of contamination or unnecessary construction costs.

LOAD-BEARING OPTION

If a modular self-standing structure is what you need, HWI has the perfect option. Our 2in Partition Poly-Wall is designed so that standard unistruts can be clad within its framework to create a heavy-duty load-bearing system that carries the weight of mechanical equipment and personnel. Our proprietary post base configuration has a solid bar internally sleeved within a unistrut column so that there is no rotation at the point of connection - great for seismic evaluations.

HEAVY-DUTY, WALKABLE CEILINGS – STICK-BUILT AND PANELIZED

HWI's proprietary "Utility Grid" is the most heavy-duty aluminum rod-hung ceiling grid on the market today. Designed like a standard unistrut at its top cavity, it can accept up to 0.75in diameter all-thread, ideal for suspending heavy equipment or mounting grating for a walkable mezzanine.

STATE-OF-THE-ART MANUFACTURING FACILITY

The components of the aseptic Poly-Wall system comprise a combination of PVC extrusions and vacuum-formed thermoplastic sheet. All of these parts are engineered and produced at Magee Plastics Company, a world leader in plastics manufacturing for the aviation industry.

Located in Warrendale, Pennsylvania (ten miles north of Pittsburgh), Magee Plastics Company has provided significant space atop a mezzanine overlooking their 120,000ft² facility. This is the location for HWI's life-size mock-up in the model of turnkey clean room. The mock-up consists of more than 40 linear feet of clean room and laboratory wall, partition and skin, bay and chase and various flooring transitions (trowel epoxy, sheet vinyl) with 32ft² of panelized walkable ceiling.
