P-CHIRAL LIGANDS

Celtic Catalysts has created a development program dedicated to providing the industry with an unrivalled diversity of chiral ligands and catalysts for use in asymmetric processes.

Known as the Choice™ program, it is based upon a proprietary P-chiral platform that enables a systematic, rational and modular approach to design, synthesis and selection of P-chiral phosphorus ligands.

Some of P-chiral ligands available include the well-known DiPamp (and many of its analogs) as well as other proprietary Celtic Catalysts P-chiral ligands.

NON P-CHIRAL LIGANDS

Celtic Catalysts has a number of proprietary ligands available for a wide range of asymmetric transformations including asymmetric hydrogenation, asymmetric transfer hydrogenation, asymmetric cyclopropanation, asymmetric allylation and asymmetric Kharasch reactions. These ligands are currently available in 100g to kilogram scales

CATALYST SCREENING

Celtic Catalysts can carry out multi-channel screening of reaction parameters and catalytic systems, using its intimate knowledge of catalysis and synthesis to derive maximum value from the minimum number of experiments, rather than screening very large numbers of catalytic systems. We believe the latter approach can often generate large data sets that are not time or cost-effective to interpret.

Hits from the screens can be efficiently optimised and scaled up in the laboratory to a kilogram scale. At this point the process can be transferred back to the customer or a pilot / full-scale manufacturing process developed in collaboration with the client and / or with agreed manufacturing partners.

CHIRAL BUILDING BLOCKS

Celtic Catalysts has a wide range of chiral blocks available in gram to multi-kilogram quantities. These building blocks give access to a wide range of highly functionalised structural motifs common to many pharmaceutically important molecules.

These compounds contain a number of functional handles which allow these building blocks to be elaborated upon and tuned according to preference of chemical properties.

Thus, they are ideal for use as templates / scaffolds for library synthesis. Celtic Catalysts also provides biotechnology and emerging pharmaceutical companies with customised focussed libraries based upon these (and other) templates.
