CfPIE Introduces Team Development Course for the Life Sciences

June 23, 2006 - PHILADELPHIA - The Center for Professional Innovation and Education (CfPIE), the global leader in career advancement training for the Life Sciences today announced a new team development training course. This two-day course, "Core Skills for Team Development" is being offered at The Desmond Hotel & Conference Center on November 16 & 17, 2006.
One of the biggest challenges faced by the Life Science industry is lost productivity as a result of poorly conceived or constructed teams meant to tackle critical projects. "Core Skills for Team Development" is meant to teach participants the value of collaborative project leadership and develop the essential people skills necessary for effective team-based work. The critical skills taught include: identifying and working with diverse communication and learning styles, listening effectively, making team decisions, giving and receiving constructive feedback, resolving conflicts, brainstorming ideas, and more. Students will also learn to use tools such as the mind map, affinity diagram, decision matrix, and interrelationship digraph. This workshop is highly interactive, providing participants with the training they need to build new skills - ones that can be immediately applied to real project work.
