The extension of the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) headquarters was officially inaugurated by the president of the Catalan government on 19 June. The extension, from 8,000m² to 13,000m², includes a brand new laboratory and office space for Crysforma.
Special guests to the event were some of Crysforma’s and ICIQ’s industrial customers, as well as the members of ICIQ’s Scientific Committee. The committee is composed of leading scientists in ICIQ’s different areas of research, and has been recently been joined by Prof Michael Graetzel of the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausane.
On 2 July Dr Benet-Buchholz, one of the unit managers at Crysforma, will present a conference at the event, entitled ‘Crystallization of organic products: problems, characterization and new methods’. The event will be organized by Applus in Bellaterra (Barcelona).
In the presentation he will discuss Crysforma’s approach to solid state problems, as well as our in-house developed crystallization screening methodology and how it can be adapted to solve specific industrial problems.
