Cenexi opened up its facilities to other pharmaceutical players, including customers supplying own-label products, while continuing to make products for its parent company, Roche Group. The new Contractual Manufacturing Organisation (CMO) has expertise in prescription (both human and veterinary) in OTC products and in generic products.

Cenexi has an annual capacity of 300 million ampoules for parenterals, 10 million bottles of syrup, 1,300t of tablets and hard gelatine capsules, and a packaging capacity of 120 million packs.

485 employees work at Cenexi, at 5km from Paris, where currently 75% of its output is exported worldwide. In addition to manufacturing operations, Cenexi is offering a range of outsourcing services including analytical development, stability studies, follow-up stabilities, annual product review and assistance for product technical registration.

INJECTABLE AMPOULES - FUNNEL-TIP, ASEPTICLY FILLED, AUTOCLAVED AND EXAMINED FOR HAIRLINE FISSURES AND PINHOLES

Cenexi produces injectable ampoules and has probably one of the highest capacities in Europe (300 million ampoules for parenterals), bringing this galenical product into a high volume and low costs logical process.

Ampoules are funnel tip, they are locally washed and sterilized in high temperature tunnels before being filled. Filling is done after two sterilizing filtration steps as a standard. Products which can bear heat are autoclaved as well. Our ampoules are labelled or silk-screen printed and we do provide a wide range of formats, from 1ml to 20ml.

Cenexi is the expert for vitamins and knows exactly how to handle aseptic filling. Oily products are also handled by our specialists. High quality and high speed optical control lines and pinholes detection lines avoid any deviation from specification.

Our pinhole detection machine for ampoules and vials uses a high voltage electrical field and impedance measurement to check each container at four inspection points. The container is examined for hairline fissures and pinholes, leaking ampoule neck tips, insufficient glass thickness at the tip and absence of fill. The latest in high frequency, high voltage technology ensuring reliable, accurate and non-destructive inspection required by today's growing industry standards.

PRODUCTION OF SOLID FORM FOR DRY, WET AND ALCOHOLIC GRANULATION, TABLETTING AND COATING, AS WELL AS HARD GELATINE CAPSULES

With an annual capacities of 1,300t of solid forms, we feature dry, wet and alcoholic granulation, tabletting and coating. For more than 80 years, our plant has been producing solid forms which are supported by full regulatory and analytical expertise and provides a broad range of tablet sizes, shapes and coatings.

From benzodiazepines to vitamins, our staff has experienced the major Roche tablets launches. More than any other classical process, the manufacturing of tablets requires good craftsmanship and experience.

We perform packaging drawing at your design, thanks to our graphic team working on Illustrator, inDesign, etc. Our 15 high speed packaging lines enable us to supply many kind of tubes, blisters, or ampoule boxes.

With an annual capacities of 120 million finished packs, our strength is to provide secondary packaging in PVC blisters and in sealed carton packaging.
