FINE FOODS NTM is an independent contract manufacturer working in the field of pharmaceuticals and food supplements. Without own brands, it is the largest contract manufacturer for food supplements production located in Italy, with a large portion of the business focused on export. FINE FOODS NTM, with its R&D laboratories for recipe studying and process scaling-up, is able to provide customers with stability tests, process validations, analytical methodologies development and validation.

FINE FOODS NTM has two production plants, one for pharmaceuticals, the second for food supplements; it employs more than 160 people and has more than 100 active customers. The annual turnover is around €40 million.

SOLID ORAL FORMS AND PACKAGING

FINE FOODS NTM produces all kinds of solid oral forms (powders, granules, tablets - with or without film coating - and capsules) as well as many packaging forms: sachets, bags, jars, bottles and blisters. It produces and packages liquids in single-dose-bottles with or without dosage-powder caps.

The company is also specialised in fluid bed granulation technology for effervescent products (not tablets).

PRODUCTION AND PACKAGING TECHNOLOGY

FINE FOODS NTM is equipped with following production and packaging technologies:

  • Four fluid bed granulators (Glatt), with capacities ranging from 300kg to 800kg and a daily capability of 30t
  • Five reel mixers, with capacities ranging from 100kg to 1,200kg and a daily capability of 30t
  • Two bicone mixers, with capacities ranging from1,200kg to 1,500kg and a daily capability of 30t
  • Six rotary tabletting machines, for round and oval shaped tablets with flat and convex surfaces, ranging in size from 2.5mm to 25mm and with a daily capability of 5 million tablets
  • Three capsule filling lines, able to work with powders, granules, microtablettes and 6mm size tablets with a daily capability of 2 million hard gelatine capsules
  • 12 lines for sachet filling, with a daily capability of 3.6 million sachets
  • Three lines for filling bottles with tablets or hard gel capsules, with a daily capability of 30,000 bottles
  • Three lines for filling jars with powder, with a daily capability of 100,000 jars
  • Three blistering machines, with a daily capability in excess of 600,000 blisters
  • Two film-coating machines for tablets, with a daily capability of 2t
  • Two machines for liquid single-dose bottles, with a daily capability of 240,000 bottles
