Change of Name to MEDA Manufacturing GmbH

Tropon GmbH, a subsidiary of the Swedish MEDA AB since 2005, has announced that, as of November 2006, Tropon will be known as MEDA Manufacturing GmbH. This new company name will reflect the new corporate identity. Business activities will continue as before but it should be noted that this change will be accompanied by a change of web and email addresses as follows:

The company has been in business for more than a century and was affiliated with Bayer AG for many years. Ownership was transferred from Bayer AG to the Advent International investment group on 1st January 2000.
TROPON resumed independent activity in the pharmaceutical sector in Germany on 15 January 2001.
VIATRIS Holding GmbH, a subsidiary of the Advent Group, acquired the shares in TROPON GmbH with legal effect on 9 August 2004. On 29 September 2005, the Swedish Meda AB company becomes the new legal owner of the VIATRIS Group and TROPON GmbH
