Haselmeier is pleased to announce that it has added an additional 600m² to its pen manufacturing facility in Buchen, Germany. This new area has been designed as an annex to the existing pen assembly facility, which has been in operation since 1978.
The new annex provides additional space for secondary packaging, which was integrated into the production last year and additional storage of up to 400 pallets. The new design and layout will enable optimized efficiency and material flow – from incoming components to delivery of finished goods.
At the opening of the new annex, Haselmeier's managing director, Matthias Meissner, commented on the company’s history and long tradition of success and expressed his excitement about the successful finalization of this project: "I am very pleased to see Haselmeier growing into a leading global partner for the pharmaceutical industry. The continuously growing interest and demand in our self-injection pen devices required this expansion. It will strengthen our Buchen facility, provide our customers with optimized processes and ensures long-term safety of pen supply."
The new logistics complex is the first of a series of expansion programs and facility upgrades Haselmeier plans for the Buchen facility.
