Haselmeier is pleased to announce the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Dnesice, Czech Republic, on 1 January 2010. The 3,000m² facility provides additional capacity to meet the steadily increasing demand for self-injection systems of the global pharmaceutical and biotech market. This new facility will provide 400m² class D cleanroom for sub-assembly of its disposable Penlet and Axis-D pen platforms and increased capacity for the processing of metal outer bodies for re-usable pens. In addition, printing and secondary packaging will be integrated on a continuous basis.

Matthias Meissner, managing director Germany, commented: "Haselmeier is an important partner for the pharmaceutical industry for the design and manufacture of self-injections devices. Our new facility will permit Haselmeier to meet the growing demand for self-injection devices and has been ISO-13485 certified this month. The first shipment of commercial product is expected at the end of Q1."
