PROSOLV SMCC - SILICIFIED MICROCRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE

PROSOLV - Silicified Microcrystalline Cellulose is a high functionality ingredient because it is multifunctional, requires less complex processing (direct compression), has high inherent functionality and imparts that functionality to the drug formula.

Some traditional ingredients improve compaction performance by reducing density, but the result is decreased flow and content uniformity. PROSOLV imparts both optimum compaction and flow to drug formulations.

JRS TABLET BINDERS:

Our tablet binders include:

EMCOCEL®, VIVAPUR®: these brands of Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC) are preferred excipients in tablet manufacturing due to their high compactability, inherent flow and ability to initiate disintegration.

EMCOMPRESS®: the first direct compression tablet binder excipient, Emcompress is dibasic calcium phosphate. Its particles are of a size, shape, and density to maximize flow in high-speed tablet production and to reduce tablet weight variation.

ANHYDROUS EMCOMPRESS®: in addition to excellent flow enhancement in direct compression, Anyhdrous Emcompress dibasic calcium phosphate, does not contain water of crystallization and can be used with moisture sensitive actives. It is very often used in capsule formulations and to accelerate formulation development.

EMDEX®: ideal for chewable products, this tablet binder is the only compendial spherical dextrate available that delivers the required flow, compaction and flavor carrying capacity for consumer products.

SUGARTAB®: Sugartab compressible sucrose is excellent for chewable products, particularly vitamin formulations. It offers good flow, excellent compressibility and flavor masking.

JRS SUPERDISINTEGRANTS:

EXPLOTAB®: the first superdisintegrant made from sodium starch glycolate, JRS Pharma now manufactures and markets this superdisintegrant to ensure consistent quality, availability and the premier technical support for which we are known.

VIVASTAR®: this sodium starch glycolate superdisintegrant has great disintegration power and cost savings. VIVASTAR PSF (Pharmaceutical Solvent Free) is innovative in that it can improve stability of certain drugs.

VIVASOL®: this croscarmellose sodium starch-free superdisintegrant offering excellent results at low use levels.

EMCOSOY®: an all natural, soy polysaccharides superdisintegrant, which does not contain starch or sugar. Being a dietary fiber, it has excellent application in nutritional products.

SATIALGINE H8®: a pharmaceutical grade alginic acid that offers rapid swelling in an aqueous medium. It can be moistened and dried without significant loss in disintegration and combines both a wicking and swelling mechanism to promote disintegration in either wet or dry granulations.

PRUV™: PRUV is a unique sodium stearyl fumarate tablet lubricant that is more hydrophilic than traditional lubricants, less sensitive to blending and relatively inert. This results in tablets with improved disintegration and dissolution, harder tablets and better drug stability.

LUBRITAB®: less chemically reactive than most common lubricants, Lubritab is a hydrogenated vegetable oil lubricant that can also be used as an auxiliary dry binder and controlled release matrix.
