Presspart, the world’s leading provider of specialist metal components to the pharmaceutical industry, is expanding its product offerings with a new range of plastic drug delivery components. The company will be exhibiting these for the first time at Pharmapack 2009 in Paris, 21-22 January, on stand A05bis.

Presspart specialises in high precision, deep drawn metal components, such as the aerosol cans and valve components that it provides to three quarters of metered dose inhalers (MDIs) throughout the global market. The company’s recent acquisition of Nemo, a Spanish-based provider of plastic components, has enabled Presspart to complement its capabilities with plastic injection moulded techniques and manufacture assembled drug delivery devices.

The company will continue to work with customers in developing innovative components as well as assembled devices. “We are constantly trying to improve our processes,” said Joanna Riley, marketing manager at Presspart. “We are working with our customers to ensure they remain as competitive as us, especially in the currently challenging economic environment, without jeopardising quality or safety.”

Presspart’s deep drawing, injection moulding, cleaning and coating processes conform to the high cleanliness and precision requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.
