Croda Health Care have announced they are exhibiting at CPhI, the world's largest pharmaceutical industry gathering, and can be found on stand 5H80 (Hall 5a). By visiting the Croda stand pharmaceutical formulators can find out how they can reduce cellular irritation and improve API stability in a variety of delivery systems.
For topical and transdermal systems, Croda has shown that chromatographically purifying polysorbates removes oxidative and polar impurities and so reduces skin irritation compared with standard monographed grades. Similar purification of PEG-400 significantly increased the stability of solubilised drug actives. This new Super Refined PEG finds application in any oral, topical and parenteral formulations where PEG-400 is used as an API solvent. Croda's complete ranges of drug delivery excipients and lipid actives for pharmaceutical and dermatological applications will also be on show.
