Domo - Pharmaceutical Lactose Excipients

Domo is a leading global supplier of pharmaceutical excipients. We focus on the development and production of a total range of pharmaceutical lactose. Our product range includes:

  • Lactochem®: wet granulation, capsules and sachets
  • Lactopress®: direct compression tabletting
  • Lactohale®: dry powder inhalation

LACTOCHEM®: LACTOSE FOR WET GRANULATION, CAPSULES AND SACHETS

Domo offers a broad range of sieved and milled alpha-monohydrate lactose with different particle size distributions. The benefit for you is that you can choose a specific lactose product to meet the requirements of your application.

In addition to our extensive standard range of Lactochem products, we can also produce customer-specific types of lactose.

LACTOPRESS®: LACTOSE FOR DIRECT COMPRESSION TABLETTING

The pharmaceutical industry increasingly uses direct compression to manufacture tablets. 'Compact' and 'superior flow' are the keywords for this production process. We market two types of lactose for this segment - Lactopress spray-dried and Lactopress anhydrous - both of which will meet your requirements for compactness and flow.

Lactopress spray-dried consists of alpha-monohydrate lactose particles that are glued together by amorphous lactose. Due to its ductile behaviour, Lactopress spray-dried exhibits superior compactness. Its spherical shape contributes to an excellent level of flow.

Lactopress anhydrous contains no water crystals, making it the superior choice for moisture-sensitive active ingredients or formulations. It also has excellent flow and compact qualities.

LACTOHALE®: LACTOSE AS CARRIER FOR DRY POWDER INHALATION

Lactose is by far the most commonly used excipient for dry powder inhalation applications. Each combination of a drug and an inhalation device requires the development of a specific type of lactose. In practice, we always work together with our customers to define and process the exact specification required. To do so we have access to processes like milling, sieving, classifying, micronising and blending.

We are proud to be the world leader in pharmaceutical lactose for dry powder inhalation.
