Cellets® are neutral carriers for pellet systems in controlled release formulations. As an inert and insoluble core Cellets combine unique product and process properties and offer a wide range of particle sizes.

The standard types start with Cellets 100 (100-200µm) and end with Cellets 1000 (1,000-1,400µm).

Starting with particle sizes from 100-200µm, we can offer micropellets for highly active low dosage API's.

Cellets are a perfect tool for combinatory and controlled release products. Due to the inert behavior of the microcrystalline cellulose the potential incompatibilities of sensitive actives can be reduced.

Cellets are water insoluble, and the high abrasion resistance improves and simplifies the coating process. The physical properties allow a reproducible and stable process. Cellets are insoluble in diverse media and reduce agglomoration of pellets in the starting phase of the layering process.

Cellets are innovative carriers for new drug entities, multiple dosage forms and highly active API's when it comes to pellet formulations. It can support the improvement of formulations and optimisation of layering and coating processes.

Pellet based on Cellets can be filled in capsules, sachets and sticks or compressed into matrix tablet.
