Binder - Simulation ChambersBinder is the global leader in simulation chambers which provide perfect simulation of natural environmental conditions. For years, our fully comprehensive product range of climatic test chambers has been considered the best available worldwide. These products are developed consistently and with a clear focus on what we do best: namely, climatic simulation technology, process technology, measurement and control technology, lighting technology, vacuum technology, and software solutions. HOT AIR STERILISATION INCUBATORSCell cultivation is a highly sensitive process, where a single germ can destroy weeks of work. Real sterilisation is the only way to safely eliminate this risk. With hot air sterilisation at 180°C, Binder’s CO2-incubators solve this problem, so that our customers can fully comply with all international guidelines and directives in pharmacopeias, from DIN to ADA. BINDER incubators offer an easy overnight sterilisation cycle that requires no extra work, such as the removal of interior fittings. This also eliminates additional maintenance costs for lamps, filters, or other spare parts. BINDER VD, VDL AND VDL EX-ZONE 2: VACUUM DRYING OVENSOur VD series vacuum drying ovens for non-flammable solvents deliver impressive performance for safe drying through homogenous temperature distribution, thanks to the APT.line™ air jacket system. Optimum heat transfer is achieved through patented expansion rack technology; the racks can be positioned as needed and are easy to clean. The VDL series EX-Zone 2 is designed for operation in explosion hazard areas, in full compliance with ATEX requirements. Our special safety package eliminates any risk. All Binder vacuum drying ovens provide drying with no residues, no danger of incrustation, and no oxidation – all under gentle cycle conditions. CO2 INCUBATORS WITH INNER CHAMBERBinder CO2 incubators now have a new inner chamber with 25% extra usable space. CB series equipment is mainly used for sensitive incubation applications in scientific laboratories. Binder now offers even more precision with its latest inner chamber design. This new inner chamber comes with integrated, smooth-edged shelf supports, which are formed as part of the inner chamber wall in the deep-draw process during manufacture. Since there are no interior fittings, substantially less cleaning is required. All CB series CO2-incubators incorporate hot air sterilisation at 180°C (356°F) to ensure maximum sterile conditions, while the proven Permadry™ system keeps inner walls free of moisture. PH-STABLE INCUBATORSOptimal cell growth requires a stable and balanced pH. An initial pH from pH7.2 to 7.4 provides virtually ideal conditions. Cell cultures are extremely sensitive to equilibrium fluctuations. A constantly controlled CO2 feed will maintain the necessary pH stability within the incubator. During cell cultivation, the actual gas feed is permanently and automatically monitored and compared to the recorded value data. In the event of deviations, the intelligent fail-safe system controls the CO2 feed, providing immediate pH stabilisation. This eliminates any adverse effects on cell growth that may otherwise occur when pH values are outside of tolerance limits. Binder offers this patented intelligent fail-safe system for monitoring the CO2 concentration in its CB series CO2-incubators. Other available options are a controlled oxygen feed for variable O2 values during hyper or hypoxic cultivation conditions, and a gas-tight, partitioned inner glass door. TEMPERATURE CHAMBER DONATED TO PERUVIAN HOSPITALIn 2007, Binder donated a temperature chamber valued at €2,000 to the Diospi Suyana Hospital in Curahuasi, in Peru. The Binder drying oven will be used in the hospital laboratory to perform microbiological and serological experiments and for coagulation tests.
