Wired and wireless thermal validation systems

GE’s Kaye Validator® and ValProbe® thermal validation systems are recognized leaders for cGMP-regulated industries. Specially designed to conform with 21 CFR Part 11, international and European norms (EN285, EN554), they provide validation for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device manufacturing plants.

The new ValProbe Cryo Logger offers an extended temperature range from -85°C to +140°C and provides a single solution for a variety of applications, such as cryogenic chambers, lyophilizers, ultra-low freezers and other ultra-low temperature applications. Thus the new Cryo Logger permits significant cost savings and productivity gains.

We offer a complete turnkey solution, from thermocouples and feedthroughs to ISO 17025 standards, calibration references and validation hardware and software. Executable documentation is available to ensure your total system compliance.

Kaye Validator simplifies the entire validation process by reducing set-up time, minimizing sensor handling, automating sensor calibration, neatly organizing study data and generating regulatory required reports.

NEW - Kaye Validator 2000 is now available with USB connectivity. This will greatly facilitate the loading of data required for set-ups, the storage of study data and the installation of firmware upgrades, and will extend the instrument’s potential throughout the pharmaceutical and associated industries. In addition, it is compatible with the new Kaye report wizard. This can be loaded onto a user’s PC and can launch the 'Create Reports' function of any of the three Kaye validation products.

Wireless process validation and monitoring system

Kaye ValProbe wireless process validation and monitoring system eliminates the need for hard-wired sensors simplifying access to hostile, remote or hard to reach environments. With its broad operating range and ability to measure temperature, humidity and pressure, ValProbe is suitable for process validation applications like EtO, tunnels, ovens, freezers, etc.

Kaye RF ValProbe integrates breakthrough RF mesh technology with the well established thermal validation in-situ loggers from GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies. The RF ValProbe system is comprised of RF wireless loggers, a base station and software. The loggers are designed for operation in warehouses, chambers, fridges and freezers.

NEW - With the addition of the highly accurate pressure transducer, thin stainless-steel temperature probes and smart RF mesh technology, the Kaye RF ValProbe is now the ideal system for steam-in-place studies, which find application in the pharmaceutical, dairy, beverage and biotechnology industries. The temperature sensor is a precision small diameter bendable type RTD designed to permit easy access to pipes and vessels through gaskets. The temperature probe remains in place and can be fed along pipe work or placed into stainless vessels or filter bodies. The system offers easy connection to the high-accuracy Kaye pressure transducer, which is designed for 121°C and 134°C operation and comes with a calibration certificate compliant to ISO 17025 at these extended temperatures.

Centralized facility monitoring, alarm and reporting system

A centralized monitoring, alarm and reporting system for laboratory, warehouse and stability monitoring is provided by Kaye LabWatch?.

With both wired and wireless options, LabWatch combines precision monitoring with effective alarming, simplified reporting and secure data archiving. Wired and wireless systems can be mixed in the same facility, lowering the total costs of ownership.

NEW - Kaye LabWatch Pro from GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies is a next-generation monitoring system with a state-of-the-art wired and wireless technology with simplified and scalable software architecture to monitor high-value assets. The flexible new LabWatch Pro brings the robustness and reliability of the Kaye LabWatch monitoring system to applications in blood banks, hospitals, cold chain storage and cell and tissue banks where high accuracy and reliability is critical but the amount and requirements of the assets can change.

Cleaning validation

Pharmaceutical manufacturers must verify their cleaning processes to ensure compliance with cGMP regulations. Ion trap mobility spectrometry (ITMS) has the advantage of being a specific method for measuring chemical residue with a very fast sampling time – less than one minute per sample – to facilitate faster turnaround during cleaning verification. Minimizing equipment downtime potentially impacts the efficiency and economics of pharmaceutical production.

The Kaye Validator ITMS is a portable at-line instrument for accelerating the cleaning verification process. Operators can assess system cleanliness at-line with no delay, and get production lines up and running quickly. As an alternative to traditional analytical techniques (e.g. HPLC) this instrument provides significant gains in production-line utilization and capacity.
