Labcaire - Filtration Fume Cabinets, Microbiological Safety Cabinets and Laminar Flow Cabinets

Labcaire Systems Limited, established in 1992, has built a reputation for supplying quality health and safety related products to the medical and laboratory industry. Employing almost 100 people directly, all products are designed, manufactured and sold in the UK, with a comprehensive network of distributors operating throughout the world. Labcaire's product range of containment products are all based around the concept of filtration, these include: filtration fume cabinets, microbiological safety cabinets, laminar flow cabinets, PCR prep stations, chemical storage cabinets, mobile fume cupboards, down flow workstations and weigh station cabinets.

Specialist markets are also catered for where a specific application is required. Labcaire have a dedicated specials project team who can custom design equipment to suit the requirements of any user.

AURA NON-DUCTED FUME CUPBOARDS

The AURA fume cupboard range utilises Labcaire's core technology - fume filtration through carbon filters. The cabinets are available in three standard sizes ensuring there is a model available to suit the requirements of almost any laboratory. Should the size not be exactly as required, we can produce a model to your own specifications.

EVERSAFE™ - FUME MONITORING SYSTEM

Each cabinet is provided with either a 'low-airflow' alarm or full EVERSAFE™ fume monitoring system depending on individual requirements. The Labcaire EVERSAFE™ fume monitoring system is one of the most advanced monitoring systems available. It will of course offer airflow monitoring but should the aperture of the cabinet be disturbed or should the pre-filters start to block then the EVERSAFE™ will increase or decrease the fan speed accordingly to ensure the face velocity is maintained. Should the adjustment required be outside the parameters of the cabinet then the unit will give both audible and visual alarms.

The extra high fixed height apertures used in the AURA range guarantee that the maximum recommended sash height will not be exceeded and extra filters can be installed such as outlet carbon filters for extra safety or outlet HEPA filters for removal of particulate as low as 0.3 microns.

LAMINAR FLOW CABINETS

Labcaire's range of cabinets come in a choice of either Vertical Laminar Flow or Horizontal Laminar Flow, offering Clean air to BS5725 and clean conditions to better than Class 100. This is achieved through the use of a EU4 pre-filter and HEPA filters.

Available in standard sizes from 600mm wide to 1,900mm wide they are ideal for a huge variety of applications, including areas where operator protection is vital. Custom made units are also available should a standard model not be suitable. Labcaire have provided cabinets into a huge range of areas, these include research, electronics, hospitals, manufacturing and local authorities.

F100 WEIGH-STATION CABINETS

Designed for the containment of hazardous powders, the Labcaire F100 unit offers full protection from powders whilst weighing, but has virtually eliminated any turbulence in the working area therefore ensuring no false balance readings are received.

BIOCOTE® ANTI-MICROBIAL SURFACE TREATMENT

In 2003, Labcaire signed an exclusive contract with UK based BioCote® Limited to use the company's patented anti-microbial technology across its entire product range. The move, which makes Labcaire the only filtered air products' manufacturer in the world to standardise on an anti-microbial finish, comes at a time of increasing concern about the risks of cross contamination in the laboratory. The active agents are incorporated during manufacture and are active for the life of the product.
