M-Tech Diagnostics

M-Tech Diagnostics - Biological Indicators for Sterilisation Validation, Filters and Filtration Equipment, Fibre Filters and Sample Bags

M-Tech Diagnostics acts as a UK distributor for a number of American and European pharmaceutical companies, providing access to a wide range of competitively priced, industry standard products, used in:

  • Sterilizer validation
  • Production
  • Hygiene monitoring
  • Microbial quality control
  • Environmental monitoring

Our comprehensive product range includes biological indicators for the validation of steam, dry heat, ethylene oxide and hydrogen peroxide vapour sterilization. Our filter product range covers production-scale filtration cartridges, housing and capsules, along with analytical filtration equipment, membranes, syringe filters, extraction thimbles and filter papers.

Laboratory based products are complemented by the range of Whirl-Pak® sample bags, sampling sponges and a diverse range of sampling equipment used for collection of sludge and water samples.

These products are widely used by pharmaceutical and cosmetic manufacturers, breweries, soft drink and water bottling plants, food production and preparation sites, R&D groups, veterinary and environmental health laboratories throughout the UK.

BIOLOGICAL INDICATORS FOR STERILIZER VALIDATION

The Raven Biological Laboratories range provides biological and process indicators for all types of sterilization protocol. Paper spore strips are ideal for steam, dry heat, ethylene oxide or gamma irradiation. The Pro Line challenge device has been designed for validating tubing sets - either steam or ethylene oxide - inserted into the mid-point of a tubing run to demonstrate sterilization conditions have been achieved during the cycle.

Self-contained indicators include:

  • Pro Spore glass ampoule indicators: liquid load steam cycle results in 48 hours
  • Pro Spore 2 self-contained indicators: porous load steam cycle results in just 24 hours

Stainless steel coupons or wires are available for hydrogen vapour sterilization of isolators. Autoclave tape and Bowie-Dick vacuum text packs complete the range for autoclave validation.

FILTERS AND FILTRATION EQUIPMENT

A wide variety of ultra filters and syringe filters are available to help with sample preparation or collection. Filter holders are available in glass, stainless steel and plastic, for use with all aspects of analytical filtration and solvent preparation for High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).

Membranes are available in cellulose ester, nitrocellulose, nylon, PTFE and track etched polycarbonate, in pore sizes to five microns, and diameters from 13mm to 293mm.

ALUMINA FIBRE FILTERS - NANOCERAM®

M Tech Diagnostic's Nanoceram® filters are novel, highly electropositive Alumina fibre filters, showing remarkable particle removal and flow rate characteristics. The product is capable of filtering out sediment and colloidal matter with a collection efficiency of over 99.9%. Particle sizes range from microns to nanometers.

Filters are available in flat membrane, syringe, capsule and pleated membrane cartridge format. The material is ideally suited to pharmaceutical manufacture, coolant filtration, food and beverage manufacture, swimming pool and spa filtration, and pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems.

HIGH-CAPACITY GROUNDWATER FILTER FOR METAL ANALYSIS

The SingleSample® high-capacity, single-sample groundwater filters are widely used around the world for filtration of turbid groundwater samples prior to analsyis for metal ions. The filter consists of a 0.45micron pore-size PES membrane in a polypropylene housing, with hose / barb fittings to allow attachment to sample container. The hydrophillic nature of the PES membrane ensures that it can be used directly with aqueous samples without the need for prewetting the filter - saving considerably on operator time and allowing for improved ease of use.

The SingleSample filter capsule is validated for a total of 67 metal ions, including arsenic, cadmium, nickel, lead and mercury as well as both chloride and sulphate anions.

WHIRL-PAK SAMPLE BAGS

Whirl-Pak bags are available in a wide range of sizes from 60ml to 2,070ml capacity, and provide a quick, reliable and convenient way to collect liquid, semi-solid and solid samples.

All Whirl-Pak bags are closed by means of 'puncture proof' plastic coated wire tabs, which provide a secure seal without the potential to puncture either the bag or operators' gloves. Whirl-Pak bags are sterilised by ethylene oxide gas, and are suitable for use with all water and food samples. For sampling chlorinated water, the Whirl-Pak Thio-Bag® range are available, containing 10mg tablets of sodium thiosulphate in order to neutralize free chlorine in the sample.
