At Achema 2009 in Frankfurt Cremer will introduce the new counting system CF-425. Featuring a versatile modular design with up to ten counting heads, this advanced linear tablet counter maximises production speeds within a space-saving footprint. It will handle a wide range of tablets, caplets, hard and soft gel capsules as well as a wide variety of container shapes and sizes with fast and easy changeovers.
The number of counting-head modules on the new Cremer CF-425 can vary from three to ten to match each customer’s required line output. Typical output ranges from 90 to 300 containers per minute. Actual output depends on the combination of product shape, size and count.
Compared to the existing Cremer high speed linear tablet counters that feature four counting heads, the CF-425 achieves this high throughput in 40% less floor space. The CF-425’s advancements include full control of all motions, easier operation with fewer parameters, electrically controlled enclosure over the counting modules and improved system efficiency.
The CF-425 tablet counter handles tablets and capsules ranging in size from 2mm to 30mm in length and from 2mm to 20mm in width. It accommodates a wide assortment of containers, including round, oval, square and rectangular up to 200mm high and 125mm wide. While many product and bottle changeovers can be accomplished on the CF-425 with only a limited number of change parts, even the most extreme changeover can be achieved by one operator in a very short time.
The Cremer CF-425 eases use and maximises production efficiency by reducing the factors that limit operation including parameter setting, changeover and cleaning. The entire system is controlled from the operator interface with a 15-in colour touch screen.
Exceeding cGMP specifications, the CF-425 is fabricated in stainless steel, hard coated aluminium and various synthetic materials.
