SCA Cool Logistics, designs, qualifies, manufactures and supplies temperature controlled packaging solutions primarily to the pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical research and allied industries. The large ranges of packaging solutions we develop are based on our customers’ specific requirements.

With our headquarters based in the UK, we manufacture products on three continents, considerably reducing distribution costs and lead times, enabling us to offer a swift service wherever our customers may be.

Our customers within the pharmaceutical industry range from small ‘start-up’ biotech companies, to large multi-national corporations. Therefore, we have a flexible approach to design and supply as well as a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and supply-chain complexities.

TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED PACKAGING SYSTEMS

The heart of our business is system design and we have the largest test facility in the world with 21 environmental chambers. It is here that we develop and qualify temperature controlled packaging systems which include bespoke solutions designed specifically to meet our customers’ needs, but also a huge range of pre-qualified, ready-to-use, "off the shelf" systems.

To cope with the ever growing requirement for secure temperature controlled packaging, SCA Cool Logistics has led an ambitious growth strategy. We have increased our manufacturing facilities with new sites in Scotland, Singapore, the Czech Republic and South Africa which has enabled us to continue to meet the needs of our customers.

INTERNATIONAL PACKAGING SUPPLY

Local supply is important for many companies and is a key focus of SCA Cool Logistics. With the support of over 250 SCA Packaging Group sites across Europe and Asia, we are able to offer a localised supply to a significant number of the top twenty pharmaceutical companies.

It is very important to us to maintain our current high level of top quality products and services and with this in mind we have attained both ISO and OHSAS accreditations. We have implemented international standardisation in ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management, ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management and British standardisation in OHSAS 18001:1999 Health and Safety Management. These enable us to design and manufacture our products within an environment based on internationally recognised and accepted standards, whilst operating in an ethical, sustainable and safe manner. INSULATED CONTAINERS AND PHASE CHANGE MATERIALS

Our range of products is extremely comprehensive, offering over 150 standard sizes of insulated containers in a variety of materials and over 100 standard sizes of phase change materials in five different material presentations as well as innovative new technologies such as the NanoCool and ZeoCool evaporative cooling solutions. This large range of products enables us to create packaging solutions which fit precisely to the customer’s requirements whilst ensuring their implementation through a strict qualification process.
