Aesica Appoints Michael Staff Vice President, Sales & Business Development, North America

Aesica, a leading supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients and formulated products to the global pharmaceutical industry, announces the appointment of Michael Staff as Vice President, Sales and Business Development, North America.
Michael joins Aesica from Minakem, a French fine chemical company, where he was President and CEO of their US subsidiary. During his seven years at the company, Michael established Minakem’s US operations and was responsible for all legal and corporate aspects of the business including profitability and personnel. Michael was the main driving force behind the significant growth of Minakem’s US market sales. Prior to Minakem, Michael was at Yamakawa Chemical Industry where he was manager of the New York office and Mitsubishi International Corporation where he held the position of Manager, Business Development.
At Aesica, Michael will be responsible for developing and building Aesica’s presence in North America through the establishment of a US subsidiary. His appointment marks the establishment of Aesica’s commercial presence in North America and affirms Aesica’s commitment to becoming the number one supplier of APIs and formulated products to the global pharmaceutical market.
The new North America office will help strengthen Aesica’s expanding operations in the United States and Canada by providing access to a diverse set of customers while also supporting the Company’s existing international business and operations. Michael will be based in New Jersey and will report to Alan Raymond, Aesica’s Commercial Director.
