Polpharma Launches Electronic Documentation System

Polpharma Fine Chemicals Business Unit is launching the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) platform for the creation and modification of DMF files.
The goal of the project is to develop, on the basis of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 technology, a browser-based website for managing the preparation of structured documentation as part of FCBU projects. This will improve the process of DMF files preparation, by facilitating the exchange of information and collaboration between project managers involved in this process.
The analysis stage of MOSS 2007 implementation was a crucial step for proceeding the project. It was finalized in June and covered key documentation exchange and modification record functionalities. The objective of the analysis was to examine DMF creation management processes and verify how fine chemicals business unit handles communications and tasks. The launch of electronic system is planned for forth quarter of 2008.
