Previously, tabletting machines were highly dependent on the operator’s skill for good quality tablets, especially during high-speed production. This dependency meant a lag in the process if there was a change of operator or if there was nobody to man the machine.
The Legacy 6100 machine is intelligent and user-friendly, and dependency on operator skill for forming the final product is greatly diminished.
Versatile feeding mechanism
It has a feeder-station with three paddles, which works on a force-feeding mechanism. The patented big feeder design enhances:
- Uniform filling of die pockets
- Control over dusting and loss of fines
- Regularity in tablet appearance, content uniformity and weight consistency
- Special elevator design and high-speed uniform feed reduces risk of jamming of the feeder and stopping of the machine
- With reduced or no chance of human contact to contaminate the product, provides safety from start to finish
Greater product accuracy control
Legacy 6100 is capable of making a range of self-initiated online weight adjustments, through compression force measurement and control. Tablets that are not within the specification range are sorted at high-speed, and rejection takes place through a standard gate. The machine has an interface logic that makes the machine intelligent, requiring much less participation from the operator. The IPC can store up to 200 recipes for formulation, and has more than 90 exhaustive parameters that constitute each formulation.
Interchangeable turret design
Naturally, when looking for everything else desirable in a tabletting machine, you’ll also want to make sure it does not lead to additional investment, and works well with the other machinery that you use. The Legacy 6100 saves you from duplicating costs by possessing the concept of a dynamic three-piece interchangeable turret design, thus qualifying for D, B BB and BBS type tooling, so that you receive greater flexibility to address future market needs.

The machine comes with a no-corner-pillar design and a virtual tool-less design, giving it better accessibility, and allows for easier cleaning during product and batch changeover, and faster changeover times.
