Gordonsville, Virginia, October 2, 2006 - The Klöckner Pentaplast Group announces the appointment of Patty Enneking as director of global sustainability and environmental affairs for the company's worldwide operations effective September 18, 2006. This newly created position is a part of Klöckner Pentaplast's drive to incorporate social and environmental sustainability into its global business strategies. Based out of the Washington, D.C. area, Enneking will be responsible for advancing Klöckner Pentaplast's sustainability goals; environmental stewardship programs; and global regulatory affairs.
Prior to joining Klöckner Pentaplast, Enneking served as vice president of packaging/consumer products for the American Plastics Council (Arlington, VA) since 1998. She was responsible for providing strategic leadership to American Plastics Council (APC) member companies which produce plastic materials for non-durable product applications. Enneking specialized in environmental and health related issues management, as well as coalition building. She joined the APC in 1991 and served in various positions of increasing responsibility.
Enneking came to APC from ICF, a nationally recognized environmental consulting firm based in the Washington, D.C. area, where she provided policy and regulatory support under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency programs. Enneking earned a Bachelor of Science, Environmental and Urban Systems, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and completed Masters course work in her Urban Affairs/Public Administration, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
