Expansion Plans for Perfecseal Prompted by Unprecedented Growth

Perfecseal, a global market leader in the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging industry, announces substantial expansion plans that include facilities in New London, Wisconsin; Derry, Northern Ireland; and Selangor, Malaysia. These expansions have been prompted by unprecedented growth and will allow Perfecseal to continue to provide for the ever-increasing requirements of the medical device, diagnostics and pharmaceutical packaging markets. Perfecseal's continued investment in a world class infrastructure will further enable the company to promote its activities in risk reduction and process improvement, staying on target with the goal to be the best packaging solution provider for the healthcare industry.
The New London, Wisconsin, expansion will more than double the size of the existing facility, allowing room for a world class, state-of-the-art foil laminator for high barrier medical and pharmaceutical packaging. The new laminator will be contained within a controlled atmosphere, clean room type environment which will allow Perfecseal to meet stringent particulate standards. This new facility will have room for additional multi-layer extrusion lines as Perfecseal continues to grow.
The New London film plant was originally built in 2003 to provide a multi-layer film manufacturing platform for making highly sophisticated packaging films for the medical and pharmaceutical markets.
The new site expansion in Derry, Northern Ireland, became necessary as Perfecseal's European medical device and pharmaceutical packaging business grew beyond the capacity of its existing plant. The new plant layout will support lean manufacturing, new capabilities and a cleanroom environment. These enhancements will provide Perfecseal Europe with the world class facility needed to deliver a broader range of packaging products and services to the European pharmaceutical and medical device markets.
The Perfecseal facility in Selangor, Malaysia, will be adding additional printing and laminating capabilities. This expansion will allow Perfecseal to further meet customer needs in the area of high-end printed and laminated packaging materials.
The placement of new capabilities and capacity in the European and Asian markets enhances Perfecseal's ability to support global customers from a global manufacturing and service platform.
