Tension curtains for vehicle transport

As an established manufacturer of both fixed strap and pocket style curtains, Structure-flex is able to offer every possible buckle, webbing, hook and roller combination, holding one of the largest ex-stock fabric colours ranges available in the industry. Technical expertise and CAD software capability means Structure-flex are able to manufacture tensions curtains to fit any curtain-sided vehicle, be it small rigid to step deck, tapered and radius roof curtain-siders.

Every curtain is purpose built and tailored depending upon vehicle and customer requirements. Structure-flex is also able to offer the complete range of graphics options, from traditional sign writing, printed decals and airbrushing to full curtain digital printing.

Curtain-sider tensionning system

Smoothside is a unique curtain-sider product, available to suit every body type, with a patented clip and rave combination, which provides a fully tensioned buckle-free side. Ease of operation, increased advertising space and consistent tension are some of the key features of this kit system to provide the body builder or end user with the ideal platform for load protection and high quality graphics. Smoothside is a major advance over conventional tensioning systems.

Smoothside transforms the appearance of a curtain-sider to that of a flat-sided box van: more visually appealing and allowing maximum space for advertising graphics. The product reduces loading/unloading times with an easy-to-use press and click system. Aluminum rave construction increases life expectancy and safety is improved with no bottom strap or hook. Smoothside is also easier to keep clean, has superior aerodynamics and requires much lower maintenance than traditional curtain-sider products.

Re-flex access system

Re-flex is a rapid access system developed specifically for the parcel carriers and beverage distribution industries. It is particularly effective for applications where there is the need for frequent opening / closing of the curtain-sider. Structure-flex provides the complete body kit and fitting instructions. This high quality product uses proven engineered components providing a smooth operation and added durability. Each kit also provides the bodybuilder with options to customise the end result.

Tilts for roofs and roll-up flaps

Structure-flex manufactures tilts in a variety of different designs. Standard structure-flex tilts are manufactured in accordance with the European Norm EN 12641-1:2005, entitled swap bodies and commercial vehicles – tarpaulins.

A range of fasteners is available and special designs can be easily accommodated. Examples include tilts suitable for height adjustable assemblies, sliding tilts incorporating both sides and the roof as well as roll up flaps.

In 2007 Structure-flex acquired East Anglia covers, a long-standing manufacturer of stitched and welded tarpaulins, and customer made PVC covers. EAC have, for many years, supplied bespoke covers for the agricultural and marine / yachting market. With the ability to incorporate a variety of materials and fittings, Structure-flex is able to produce covers for a whole host of applications including: boat covers, canopies, ground sheets, nets, sail covers, swimming pool covers, turkey sheds and tarpaulins for hire / rental.
