The birth of Nova Weigh in 1979 coincided with the wider availability of high performance stainless steel shear beam load cells. Although these load cells were clearly ideal for process vessel weighing, the challenge Nova Weigh accepted was to create a complimentary cell mounting assembly, to turn a weighing component into a total vessel weighing system.
LoadMount was the result. Its innovative design meant that a reactor or mixing vessel could be installed onto a set of locked-up LoadMounts without the load cells in-situ. The user benefit is that cells are not at risk of mechanical damage during vessel installation - those cells being quickly and easily fitted just prior to hook-up and commissioning of the system.
Other key features including integral jacking, to allow a faulty cell to be removed, meant LoadMount quickly helped turn a then start-up company into a major player in the process weighing marketplace worldwide.
In over 25 years, LoadMount has evolved and adapted to new load cell technologies, whilst the incorporation of specific customer requirements have further influenced and refined the design.
The latest release / version - Compact LoadMount - truly raises the bar for high-accuracy vessel weighing, offering OIML Class C3 (3,000 division) load cells as standard and incorporating hygienic detailing, ideally suitable for pharmaceutical (GMP) environments.
LoadMount still sets the standard in the industry today, with thousands of installations in process plants worldwide.
