INSPECTION, SORTING, AND PROCESS AUTOMATION FOR CAPSULE, TABLET AND SOFTGEL INTEGRITY

Serving the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, SYMETIX delivers complete automation solutions to ensure solid dose integrity.

SYMETIX offers online, high-volume automated vision inspection, grading, and processing of OTC and nutritional softgels, from discrete systems to fully-integrated Continuous Softgel Finishing™ lines.

SYMETIX enables pharmaceutical processors to achieve solid dose conformance with inspection products. This includes the 21CFR11 compliant Vantyx® and Optyx™ / SG systems. Symetix also offers a range of professional services from project engineering to validation support (including GAMP4).

THE OPTYX™ / SG PROVIDES HIGH-VOLUME SORTING OF SOFTGELS

Optyx / SG inspects individual softgels at over 1 million doses per hour, removing critical non-conformities including foreign softgels (foreigners/strangers) and foreign material, "bananas," slugs, and softgels with bulges, stains, and bubbles - ensuring conformance with color, shape, and size criteria.

Offering a unique, proven 21CFR11-compliant solution to bulk solid dose inspection, the Optyx / SG is ideal for in-line and reselect applications in OTC softgel and nutraceutical manufacturing.

THE ULTIMATE IN HIGH-RESOLUTION COLOR DISCRIMINATION

The Vantyx features patented Spatial Color Analysis™ (SCA) technology for the ultimate in high-resolution color discrimination. It is specially designed for high-speed inspection applications on thermoformers (blister packs), flat-bed printers (Ackley/Hartnett-style), slat fillers, and similar precision automation.

The 21CFR11-compliant Vantyx inspects for critical product conformance criteria including color, count, shape, position, form integrity, and presence of print – all at rates in excess of 500,000 doses per hour.

PRECISION SIZE GRADING AT 1 MILLION DOSES PER HOUR

Impulse provides an attractive precision-size grading alternative to traditional diverging bar graders. Based on electromagnetic vibratory design, Impulse grades up to 1 million doses per hour.

It features a maintenance-free, easy-to-sanitize design with quick job changes, and eliminates the rotating machinery that poses safety hazards for operators.

FULLY-INTEGRATED AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS FOR SOFTGEL MANUFACTURING

SYMETIX recognizes the needs for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical softgel manufacturers to improve manufacturing efficiency, remove the costs and product security risks of manual labor, and limit product liability. We have therefore developed the Continuous Softgel Finishing™ line concept.

The Continuous Softgel Finishing™ line concept supplies fully integrated automation solutions incorporating drying, grading, polishing, inspection, and packaging. This eliminates the need for traditional batch-oriented, labor-intensive processes.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY ENGINEERING CAPABILITY

SYMETIX offers a range of professional services, from initial planning and product testing to project engineering, validation support, installation, training, and field engineering.

With a long history of developing custom, proprietary solutions for process challenges, SYMETIX brings in-depth, multidisciplinary engineering capability to technology partnerships with customers.

SYMETIX support is available from facilities in the USA, Mexico, the Netherlands and Shanghai.
