CBS DeltaV Standard Control Platform

GE Healthcare has developed an automation solution based on Emerson digital process automation system, DeltaV™, for customized chromatography systems delivered from the Life Sciences engineering organization (CBS). The solution is named CBS DeltaV Standard Control Platform and combines the benefits in DeltaV with GE Healthcare's long experience in protein purification to generate a cost-efficient and flexible solution.
The solution is a ready-to-run configuration with full documentation including user requirement specification, functional specification, design specifications and test protocols. An IQ/OQ template is also available for the solution from GE Healthcare's Fast Trak™ services.
The CBS DeltaV Standard Control Platform can easily be modified by the CBS engineering organization to match specific customer needs. The implementation allows for a flexible batch concept with smaller phases that allow operation changes without the need for reprogramming phase definitions. The solution also includes an ability to transfer data from the DeltaV batch database to the UNICORN™ control software evaluation module.
