Novasep Process' new Kerasep™ Evolution membranes are available in a wide range of cut-off for the separation of organic molecules, water soluble polymers, emulsions and specific inorganic products.

The new Kerasep Evolution membranes are high flow-rate ceramic monoliths that offer a filtration area of 0.21m2 for one membrane. Kerasep Evolution membranes have eight channels and are available in a range of cut-off from microfiltration to ultrafiltration.

Novasep Process offers different membrane module configurations ranging from one membrane to 99 membranes per module.

The main characteristics of the Kerasep Evolution membranes are:

  • High filtration flow rate and separation quality
  • Hydraulic diameter with improved filtration area
  • A broad range of cut-off
  • Highly compact (large membrane area related to the number of channels)
  • Excellent resistance to chemical constraints and aging
  • Possible counter-current operation
  • Membranes made with FDA-approved materials

Among Kerasep Evolution membrane's main applications are Biotech and food applications:

  • Extraction and clarification of fermentation liquids to produce medicinal products (antibiotics, vaccines, additives or ferments)
  • Clarification of juices (soft drinks, fruit juices, beer, wine)
  • Milk concentration, etc

Novasep Process' new Kerasep Evolution membranes are very compact in design as well as adaptable to varying viscosities and concentrations, therefore offering a quick return on investment. Novasep Process also has a range of pilot Orelis® modules that allow feasibility studies on both a laboratory and industrial scale.

Kerasep Evolution is part of the Kerasep range of ceramic membranes offering a variety of multi-channel geometries - one, seven, eight, 27 or 52 channels.
