DERMATEST® is an independent institute for cosmetic and pharmaceutical research. For over 20 years (since 1978), we have been performing tests and dermatologist-controlled clinical tests for products from the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry. To determine the product compatibilities and to provide proof of effectiveness of cosmetic ingredients, we offer a wide spectrum of various tests:

SPECIAL TESTS AND CLINICAL TRIALS

Special tests, such as eye make-up tests, long-term nail polish tests or examinations on especially sensitive patients (e.g. atopic dermatitis), are performed in cooperation with specialists for ophthalmology, dermatology and allergology.

All of the tests that we perform are carried out under the supervision of a specialist and are subsequently evaluated and documented by a doctor for an expert opinion.

With more than 20 years' experience in clinical trials and an extensive pool of voluntary test people, we are able to guarantee quick performance of any of your desired tests. DERMATEST® GmbH possesses the most up-to-date equipment (e.g. laser profilometry), which allows for a current representation of the results with a high scientific standard.

On request, we can accompany the test series until ready for publication. We would also be glad to consult you in the phase before the tests, in order to include feasible and scientifically sound procedures in the test sequence. This can strongly support the validity of the test results and can make the results more convincing.

The 6th alteration of the EC Cosmetic guidelines calls for an evaluation of the finished product (cosmetic articles) in the form of a safety evaluation taking the toxicological profile into consideration. The requirements with regard to the Cosmetic "GMP" must be fulfilled by the extension date of 30 June 1997. DERMATEST is familiar with the new and altered regulations and meanwhile carries out safety evaluations as a matter of routine.
