Analysis of Calcium Carbonate Particle Sizes Using Laser DiffractionMalvern Instruments
Calcium Carbonates are used for a wide range of functions, including as a viscosity controller in adhesives, a source of calcium in animal feed, or a filler and bulking agent in pharmaceuticals.
To provide this range of functionality, calcium carbonates are available in a wide range of different particle sizes, and with different surface coatings. The Mastersizer 3000 laser diffraction system can measure particle size from nanometres to millimetres, with measurements over the range being achieved in only a few minutes.
