ElectraSyn: A Potentiostat, Analytical Device, and Stir PlateIKA-Werke GmbH & Co
In a unique endeavor, IKA's owner René Stiegelmann has partnered with Professor Phil S. Baran of Scripps Research Institute in La Jolia, California.
Over the past three years, engineers and chemists have works hand-in-hand to develop a product combining two divisions of chemistry communities: electrochemical and meanstream synthestic organic chemisty.
The new product has developmental origins dating back to the apparatus patented and developed by IKA in the 1920s. ElectraSyn 2.0 combined three products in one and will facilitate the mass adoption of electrchemistry for preparative organic synthesis.
Society is always positively impacted by the development of sustainable reaction proceedures that generate high yields, require fewer chemical reagents, and product less chemical wsaste.
