M&As this week: Stallergenes Greer, Medicure, Eris Lifesciences


UK-based biopharmaceutical company Stallergenes Greer has acquired Canadian allergy immunotherapy provider Medic Savoure.

The acquisition will strengthen the company’s North American operations and accelerate its growth in Canada.

Medicure has divested its majority stake in Apicore US and will receive net proceeds of $105m.

The company plans to use the funds to repay its long-term debt and acquire commercial cardiovascular products.

Both companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.

Drug manufacturing company Eris Lifesciences has acquired UTH Healthcare for Rs128.5m ($1.97m).

The acquisition will expand the company’s product portfolio.

Both the acquirer and target companies are based in India.
