We offer a complete range of pure and ultrapure water purification systems and services that are the choice of scientists working in pharmaceutical, clinical, academic and government laboratories – in both validated and non-validated environments.

E-solutions for Title 21 CFR Part 11 compliance

Millitrack® Compliance is the first, fully embedded e-solution, allowing Merck Millipore Milli-Q® water purification systems to comply with Title 21 CFR Part 11 guidelines.

Designed specifically for the pharmaceutical, biotech and contract labs that follow GxP regulations and need to conform to FDA guidelines, Millitrack® Compliance offers users four important key benefits:

  • Account management

Activation of Millitrack® Compliance software will enable full Milli-Q® water purification system compliance with record saving, electronic signature and auditing criteria guidelines, such as those of Title 21 CFR Part 11 or similar requirements set by other global regulatory organisations.

The software has a user-friendly graphic interface that provides lab personnel with key water system information, either through a point-to-point computer or direct network connection using TCP / IP Ethernet protocol. For even greater flexibility, users can also monitor water system operations at any time through a web browser.

Water purification systems for pure and ultrapure water

For scientists who work with a variety of applications requiring both pure (type 2) and ultrapure (type 1) water, our Milli-Q® Integral laboratory water purification system provides the perfect solution. The system’s comprehensive and optimised sequence of water purification and monitoring technologies allows both pure and ultrapure water to be produced directly from potable tap water in a single unit.

Our patented Elix® electrodeionization (EDI) technology provides consistent production of superior quality pure water with no need for added softeners, chemical regeneration or the replacement of DI cartridges. Following a reverse osmosis step, Elix® EDI technology uses permanently self-regenerating ion-exchange resins to ensure constant high water quality at low operating cost. The pure water produced is suitable for buffer and reagent preparation, microbiology media preparation, histology, dissolution testing (with UV detection) and glassware rinsing.

Additional purification steps provide Milli-Q® ultrapure water with at 25 °C resistivity that can be ‘fine-tuned’ even further with the appropriate Application Pak point-of-use polisher, for use in HPLC, LC-MS, MALDI-ToF-MS, IC, ICP, AA and most of the analytical techniques commonly used in the laboratory. A BioPak® ultrafiltration cartridge fitted at the point of use will produce water suitable for genomics applications (quality at least equivalent to DEPC-treated water) and cell culture.

User-adapted, high-quality ultrapure water delivery systems

Designed to deliver high-quality ultrapure water adapted to every user’s needs in today’s laboratory environments, the Milli-Q® Advantage A10 system combines performance and flexibility. The system features two separate and distinct components: the production unit and the Q-POD® ultrapure water point-of-use delivery unit.

The compact production unit can be placed either on the bench, under the bench or on a wall. Up to three Q-POD® dispensers per system provide final polishing at the point of use, delivering ultrapure water that can be adapted to specific needs with Application Pak final polishers. Essential water quality and system information is displayed on the Q-POD® screen and a choice of manual or volumetric dispensing methods provides flexibility for users.

The Merck Millipore Watercare pact for water purification systems offers customers three levels of coverage according to their needs:
