Where and how people work is changing and IT departments must meet the demands of this workplace evolution.

Dedicated to delivering high-quality experiences and customer success, Polycom has announced several new services that are designed to help IT administrators make smarter decisions, drive adoption and protect their unified communications and collaboration investments.

The RealAccess services delivery platform allows personalized and near real-time data through a secure, cloud-based portal, giving the power to analyze, manage and make evidence-based decisions about a collaboration environment.

Polycom senior vice-president of Global Services Navin Mehta said: "Organizations are making significant investments in collaboration technology and because every organization is unique, they need a partner who can build a solution that satisfies their business needs today and well into the future.

"Polycom’s new services provide a clear roadmap for success from planning and evaluation through deployment and ongoing operations.

"Having the right partner every step of the way helps our customers create better user experiences, which drives adoption and faster return on their investment."

Through a set of highly differentiated applications, the RealAccess platform provides IT with important data on use, capacity and success rates, giving IT administrators information they need to make effective decisions.

The platform improves solution performance by identifying issues quickly and proactively, which improves end user experiences.

In addition, the platform gives IT the flexibility to choose specific applications, including:

  • Asset management, which provides detailed insight into end points, such as information on where and what solution and software version is being used
  • Analytics that provides data and metrics on use, capacity and performance so customers can make data-driven, evidence-based decisions about current and projected needs
  • Video library, which contains short how-to training videos to help people use collaboration tools, driving adoption across all levels of the organization

SCOR Global IT building manager Laurent Chartier said: "With the Polycom RealAccess services delivery platform, Polycom has changed the way we approach asset and capacity management.

"By giving us the information, resources and analytics we need, in simple and easy to access ways, Polycom makes our decisions easier and gives us clear feedback on their impact."

Polycom has broadened its managed services offering to meet the needs of customers who want to outsource all or part of their video collaboration investments.

The expanded offering covers Polycom’s RealPresence Platform (video infrastructure) and end points through state-of-the-art monitoring, management, hosting and transformation services, allowing IT departments to spend more time on strategic priorities.

Polycom Managed Services proactively monitors, detects and resolves new issues or threats to current infrastructure, while offering reporting and diagnostic tools that are designed to create efficiency and maximize return on investment.

The new offerings also give customers the ability to choose the level of service they need.
