West Pharmaceutical Services Integrated Containment and Delivery Systems
West is a trusted partner to the global pharmaceutical and biologics industry for its proven expertise in designing and manufacturing high-quality, technologically advanced integrated containment and delivery systems for medicines that improve patient health.
Vial system components for pharmaceutical companies
Packaging components are an integral part of any drug product. West has more than 90 years’ experience in the production of stoppers and seals and can recommend ideal solutions for specific drug needs. In addition to high-quality elastomeric components, including the NovaPure® product line, West offers advanced processing options such as FluroTec® film and B2 coating, Westar® Ready-to-Sterilize washing, Westar® RU Ready-to-Use sterilization, and Envision® camera inspection.
West can further support customers’ efforts with analytical testing, which can range from large-scale extractable/leachable studies to container closure integrity (CCI) evaluation.
West provides reconstitution and administration systems to aid delivery in both home and hospital environments, as well as containment systems made from Daikyo Crystal Zenith® cyclic olefin polymer. The polymer provides an effective packaging alternative to glass, especially for sensitive biologics or drug products with low-temperature storage requirements.
Integrated pharmaceutical delivery systems
West’s pharmaceutical delivery systems include the SmartDose® Technology Platform and the SelfDose® self-injector, which enable patients to self-administer injectable medicines at home.
West is partnering with HealthPrize Technologies on a connected health offering to improve and reward medication adherence. This partnership integrates injectable drug delivery systems with HealthPrize’s software-as-a-service medication adherence and patient engagement platform.
Prefillable cartridges and syringes, such as the Daikyo Crystal Zenith 1mL Insert Needle Syringe system, are ideal for many types of drugs, especially those used to treat chronic conditions.
West offers components for syringes and cartridges, as well as solutions that can be customized for specific applications. The company’s range of products works with injectable delivery systems, including basic vials, syringes and administration systems.
