MediSapiens wins Red Herring Top 100 Award

Bio-IT solution provider MediSapiens has won Red Herring Top 100 Europe award, announced at the Top 100 forum in Amsterdam.

The award solidifies the company’s position as a leading bio-IT provider for the life science and bio-business industries. It recognises Europe’s leading private companies and celebrates innovative technological advancements.

The winning selection was made from approximately 1,200 privately financed companies in the European Region. Since 1996, the award’s nominee list has become a mark of distinction for identifying the most promising companies and entrepreneurs. Red Herring’s editors were among the first to recognise companies such as Alibaba, Facebook, Google, Kakao, Skype, SuperCell, Spotify, Twitter, and YouTube.

Publisher and chief executive officer (CEO) of Red Herring Alex Vieux said: "In 2016, selecting the top achievers was by no means a small feat.

"In fact, we had the toughest time in years because so many entrepreneurs had crossed significant milestones so early. But after much thought, rigorous contemplation, and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across Europe.

"We believe MediSapiens embodies the vision, drive, and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture. MediSapiens should be proud of its accomplishment, as the competition was very strong."

Red Herring’s editorial staff evaluated the companies on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technological innovation, management quality, overall business strategy, and market penetration. This assessment was complemented by a review of the track records and standings of similar companies in the same verticals, allowing Red Herring to see past the buzz and make the list a valuable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the most promising new business models in Europe.

CEO of MediSapiens Sami Kilpinen said: "We are excited and honored to win this award, demonstrating the strength of our offering and strategy.

"This recognition solidifies our position in providing intuitive, science-backed tools for effective utilisation of the vast amount of genomic, biomedical, and clinical data gathered all around the world. We continue on this path and are committed to help our customers gain success and growth in their business and research endeavors."

MediSapiens’ bio-IT solutions serve pharmaceutical and biotech customers, contract research organisations (CRO), biobanks, and personalised medicine firms.
