Covid-19 cases might have reached the peak in the UK, but decline is expected to take a long time

Covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, has had a huge effect upon the UK. GlobalData has updated its Three-Scenario Risk of Transmission Forecast Model utilising up-to-date historical Covid-19 data from the Johns Hopkins Covid-19 Database, as well as the World Health Organization's (WHO's) Covid-19 situation reports.

The model examines the forecast timeline for the next two months, including peak and recovery calculations. Based on historical data for new Covid-19 cases, the UK seems to have been undergoing an extended plateau for the past few weeks. Read more here.
