Major pharmaceutical markets are severely deficient in the diagnosis of dry eye syndrome

Dry eye syndrome is an ailment induced by a lack of adequate tears, which are essential for supporting eye health and clear vision. It is a prevalent and often chronic issue occurring in middle-aged and elderly individuals. In the nine principal pharmaceutical markets, GlobalData epidemiologists found that almost two-thirds of all DES cases went undiagnosed in 2018.
