Globally, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 have reached over 185,088,000, with more than 4,001,000 deaths and over 134,333,000 recoveries reported.

Brazil continues to report the highest number of new deaths per day, accounting for 1 in every 5 deaths worldwide.

In Africa, over the last week, Malawi, South Africa, Rwanda, and Tunisia have all seen an increase in cases with growing concerns of a third-wave.

In Europe, the number of new daily cases has started rising again, including in Finland where it has risen by more than 110 over the last 3 weeks.

Greece saw a jump in daily Covid-19 cases over the last few days after weeks of declining numbers.

Despite over 38% of the eligible population being fully vaccinated, the rise has prompted suggestions of increased restrictions on entertainment venues and travel.
