China’s Zheiiang Hisun Pharmaceutical has ordered pharmaceutical freeze dryers from GEA Lyophil to allow it to expand its production of oncology and anti-infective medicines.

GEA Lyophil, part of GEA Pharma Systems, will supply seven freeze drying systems and five automatic load and unload systems to be used at Zheiiang’s Fuyang pharmaceutical valley facility.

Hisun is planning to invest over €100m in the facility to focus on the production of anti-tumour, anti-infective, anti-TB and general biologics products for the domestic and export markets.

The total value of the deal was in excess of €15m, GEA Lyophil said.
