Sanofi-Aventis and Harvard University have established a research collaboration that will focus on translational biomedical research in therapeutic areas such as cancer, diabetes and inflammation.

The collaboration will support a number of activities over the term of the agreement via funding awards for research projects.

The projects will be proposed by university investigators and selected by a joint committee comprised of Sanofi-Aventis and Harvard representatives.

The relationship will also see Sanofi-Aventis periodically evaluating technologies that may be of interest, as identified by Harvard’s Office of Technology Development.

Sanofi-Aventis will also host an annual scientific forum that will unite its researchers with their Harvard counterparts to share knowledge and opinions on relevant scientific matters.
