CTL-119 (huCTL019) is under development for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL, acute lymphoblastic leukemia), follicular lymphoma, high grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The therapeutic candidate is administered intravenously. It is a humanized version of anti-CD19 scFv domain that consists of CARs combined with an antigen recognition domain of anti-CD19 antibody linked to an intracellular domain of the CD28 or CD137 (4-1BB) protein into a single chimeric protein. CART19 cells transduced with a lentiviral vector to express humanized anti-CD19. It is a second generation CAR-T against CD19 and is based on CAR technology.
