Methylnaltrexone bromide (Relistor) is a peripherally acting quaternary derivative of naltrexone. It is formulated as injection for subcutaneous route and tablets for oral route of administration. It is indicated for the treatment of opioid-induced constipation in advanced illness patients and in adults with chronic non-cancer pain.
