Hikma Pharmaceuticals has partnered with Ergomed in order for the latter to manage clinical trials involving Hikma treatments.

Signed in September 2011, the agreement will see Ergomed conduct the first clinical trials of Hikma’s key oncology products in Jordanian hospitals, which could potentially expand into the MENA region. In return, Ergomed will receive access to Hikma’s insight into the regional pharmaceutical sector.

Hikma CEO Said Darwazah heralded the partnership, saying: "Our decision to work with Ergomed comes from a strong commitment to continuous medical advancement through the use of clinical trials, especially in the field of oncology."

Ergomed CEO Miroslav Reljanovic echoed Darwazah’s sentiments before confirming that Ergomed is currently developing a full-service MENA business, which is to be managed from its head office, located in Dubai.
